Hang in there... travel will rebound. It always does and we are stronger for it...
Karol,
Just wanted to let you know we are back and almost recuperated. We had a great time – flights went well and hotels were good especially the Embassy Suites in Oahu. We loved the suite there and the breakfast was wonderful. The location was great too – close to a lot of shopping and places to eat and the beach. The Outrigger Lae Nani was a little warm without AC this time of year. Probably would go for some AC next time. Never got below 81-82 in the condo at night even with all the windows open and all ceiling fans going.
We stayed very busy – we went to the Arizona Memorial 1st thing on Sunday and that was a great suggestion from you. We were in the first group and got our tour done before it got crowded. Then went to the Dole plantation and did the train ride and maze and then had that wonderful pineapple ice cream and fresh pineapple. Yum – would love some of that now! Then we went to the north shore and let the kids play in the water.
Monday we went to Hanauma Bay and snorkeled. My first time, kinda nervous at first – ended up being a lot of fun!!
Tuesday we went to Kauai. Rented boogie boards and snorkel gear for the kids and let them play in the water just outside the condo.
Wed – went on the crazy Kodiak boat ride up the NaPali coast. It was fun but definitely more of a wild ride than I was expecting. Been there done that! Bought a survivor shirt!! Then we drove up to see Waimea Canyon – it was beautiful.
Thurs. – The kids took surfing lessons at Kalapaki beach – they did great and loved it. Then we went to the Smith Family Luau that night – it was a hit for all of us.
Fri. – Had a great sandwich from a grocery store on the north shore at Princeville. Then Riley and I dropped Jeremy and Bob off to play golf at the Princeville resort – Prince course. Riley and I stopped for him to get shaved ice and I shopped around a little then we drove to the west end of the road and then came back for our adventure, ziplining. It was a blast!! Would do that again in a heartbeat.
Sat – drove to the Wailea waterfall and then toured the Kuaui Coffee plantation. That was very interesting. Then headed to the airport for the trip home.
Thanks so much for all your help.
I will definitely call you again. Jill
